Our First Treat

On Wednesday, June 23rd, I baked a cake. It was a box cake, so nothing too special. It was a regular yellow butter cake. I bought a Betty Crocker's Butter Recipe box cake, Land O' Lakes Salted butter, eggs and water. I followed the instructions on the back of the box. I bought some chocolate frosting to coat and decorate it. I have taken some pictures of the cake. I even kept up with the progress of the cake. My husband and father-in-law had the first two pieces of the cake. Everyone else had a piece later that night, except me. When I came home from work Thursday, half of the cake was gone. Friday night, the cake was completely gone. I guess everyone loved the cake. I hope you look forward to the next cake that I will be making.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Summer Sweet Spot Shop!

This Summer, I will provide you with nice, delicious desserts and drink (alcoholic and virgin) to enjoy on a nice, hot Summer day or nice, cool Summer night. I will provide recipes and pictures of the dessert of the week. There will be weeks that have multiples, maybe for Independence Day. A lot of these recipes will be fruit based because fruit is good for you in the Summer. I will have the ingredients lists and directions on how to make these desserts. I will also tell the results on how my family reacted and their enjoyment with the dessert of the week. I will say and see how fast it disappeared or it it lingered for a week. So, let's enjoy all the sweets we have in store!
